Gill graduated with high distinction in her Masters Degree of Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University, Scotland. In practicing physiotherapy, she draws on a lifetime of sporting experience with a Health and Performance Science Degree, and an international youth sailing and coaching background.
Gill has a wide range of clinical experience from musculoskeletal and sports injuries to elderly rehabilitation. She has worked pitch-side for four years as a team physiotherapist with rugby union and AFL clubs. Her postgrad experience includes training in dry needling, SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment), and DMA clinical pilates.
Gill has been with More Than Physio since 2017 as a general physiotherapist and clinical pilates instructor and is focusing her expertise as a TMJ Physiotherapist (jaw, face and neck). To cultivate her expertise in this area and complement her understanding of the stress and anxiety associated with jaw and facial pain, Gill is pursuing a degree in psychotherapy. As a multi-faceted practitioner, Gill utilises her patient-centred and integrative approach to enable patients to self-manage and reduce stress, thereby enhancing their recovery.
